American Forests, Summer, 2005
Turns out Hoover's famed camp in Virginia's Shenandoah National Park got started with a publicity stunt: "In a nutshell, William Carson, then a Virginia official, lured Hoover by raving about the land, building a road, buying fishing rights and stocking the river with trout."
